What Are People Saying About Yemenia?
Yemenia is Yemen's national airline, jointly owned by the Yemeni and Saudi governments. The crew is consistently described as friendly, efficient, and responsive. Blankets are provided on request, and the food — while simple — is adequate. Travelers note that for the price and the limited alternatives to Yemen, it serves its purpose.
The airline faces serious operational challenges due to the ongoing conflict. Aircraft were destroyed in airstrikes in 2025, and online booking isn't always possible — some routes require visiting a ticketing office. Delays are frequent, entertainment is minimal, and it's a dry airline. If you're traveling to Yemen, Yemenia is often the only option. Build in generous layover time and manage expectations.
